Driving across the Nullarbor - and back again

8700 kilometres, three states, four time zones, twelve southern right whales, five emus, two dingoes, four hundred kangaroos (6 living), three quokkas, two peacocks, and approximately 1 million splattered insects on the front of the car.

One goal my wife and I had for a number of years now was to drive across the country, via the Nullarbor Plain. It is almost an Australian rite of passage to make the trip. I decided that I would document the trip to help preserve the memories from it, show you a few of the sights and also to provide a bit of a guide as to what the trip is like.

The trip took us to the top of limestone cliffs at the end of the country, the edge of an open-cut gold mine 400 metres deep, below the ground in caves, 40 metres above the ground in the treetops, and a hell of a lot of bitumen. Have a look at the following pages!
